Benefits:

♥Wide boned corset area is worn at the rear with the rounded shaped edge to the top. This supports the lower (lumber) region of the back.

♥ Ensuring the longer straps are above the lower shorter straps, position the long straps around the widest part of your bump as though ‘hugging’ your baby bump to you.

♥ Upper strap with the short piece of velcro is positioned OVER the strap with the smooth softer velcro.

♥ Shortest strap should fit securely and firmly across the hips, offering support under the bump

♥ SPD Back Support Belt Hug-a-Bump® is designed to support and immobilize the lumber region of the back (the small of the back)

♥  SPD Back Support Belt Hug-a-Bump® will also help support the hips as well as hold your bump securely.

♥ No Pregnancy Support Belt can totally cure Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD otherwise known as PGP) or totally eradicate lower back pain but this product will go a long way towards relieving the  symptoms of the problem.

♥ It will offer support to your back whilst lightening the strain by supporting your growing bump.

♥ SPD Back Support Belt Hug-a-Bump® has been created in smooth soft fabric to sit securely under maternity clothes for your comfort

Points to Remember: The two most important measurements for this product are the likely size of your baby bump and the changes in our hip size. Your bump size measurement is unlikely to become larger than the largest size the bands’ long straps allow for. It may of course be smaller, hence the options available. This sizing is usually determined by your usual dress size. The measurement during your pregnancy that will differ most from your usual dress size, is the measurement around your hips.  Recent note of Feedback:

“Dear Rachel

Thank you so much for your amazingly quick delivery of the SPD Back Support Belt Hug-a-Bump® for my daughter, Maddy.
She is thrilled to bits with it and can now walk again! It has made a massive difference to her SPD and her hospital physio said it is a better product than the support they were planning to give her.
She carries it  in her handbag when she’s not wearing it because she said she feels really vulnerable without it now, and her pain has reduced a lot so its a great success for us. She still has 13 weeks to go so it will get plenty of wear!
Thank you again for your brilliant service and I will thoroughly recommend you to anyone who is interested!
Kind regards
Lynne Porter

    Wears comfortable

Delivery is very fast. wears comfortable, although the small size is still a bit larger for the lady, good product! (Posted on 12/4/2014)

I’m suffering badly at the moment with SPD and lower back pain ESP at night and morn and I’m trying support pillows. I tried on a girdle which was the two bands-one below the tummy and the corset bit around the back with a thinner band attached to that at top of bump which felt comfy- not sure which style would be best for my problem? Hug a bump or support band? All the Docs have suggested is co-codamol for the pain which I don’t want to take! Just a message to say thank you for my item! I can fit both straps on the tightest part which is great because as I get bigger it will expand with me! Thank you for your help and quick delivery! Chloe (Posted on 10/30/2014)

Rachel at Lafeenoire has been fantastic! I was struggling to find a pregnancy support girdle that fitted comfortably and with limited businesses who actually supplied them it was becoming a struggle. I contacted Rachel to see if she could help me and possibly adapt one to fit me properly and she did at no extra cost!! She adapted the Hug-A-Bump maternity support band to fit my specification and i received literally within a couple of days! The item was easy to use with clear instructions and has helped no end with relief of my SPD and lower back pain. The item can be disguised under your clothes successfully. I have made comparisons of the days I wore and didn’t wear the band and noticed a massive difference, it doesn’t take away all pain BUT it does help to alleviate the pain! I recommend this company and item! (Posted on 10/30/2014)

Cant believe how something so simple can prove to be so effective. I was diagnosed at 20 weeks and tried the Hug-a-Bump. At first if I am honest it did very little to reduce the pain but after deciding to go without it I was in agony again. A few weeks later it was a godsend and I don’t know how I would have got through the rest of my pregnancy without it. Thanks so much Rachel, you are an angel. best customer service I have seen in an age too x (Posted on 10/30/2014)

  5. Steph from Reading

The band was too start with but Rachel changed it for the smaller size without question. Once I got used to it I found it to be so comfy, easily concealed under maternity jeans and totally invaluable. I will definitely recommend it to anyone else with even the slightest back pain in pregnancy and my chiropractor is recommending it to his clients too now! Thanks Rachel, will be back to buy a nursing dress soon! 🙂 (Posted on 10/30/2014)

Only got to wear the band for the last month of my pregnancy but from that short time I would say it certainly made life a little easier. The fit was OK , could have been better and had I not been due only one month after discovering it, I probably would have returned for a different size. Customer care was second to none though and I have bought other bits and bobs since. Thankyou (Posted on 10/30/2014)

Hurrah, at last something that works. I know many are sceptical but this band is so worth the price tag. effective, easy to use and really great personal service to back it up too. I wonder why the big maternity brands get it so wrong.Well done Rachel, you are a marvel, thanks so much for Hug-a-Bump. I will spread the word! 🙂 (Posted on 10/30/2014)

Hi Rachel, thank you for a great service, my band arrived today and it feels very comfortable definitely makes moving around a lot easy, I would not hesitate to recommend, Thanks again x (Posted on 10/30/2014)

  9. Anna from Torquay

Hi Rachel, I wanted to thank you for the belt, it arrived and the quality is obviously very good. I haven’t been able to wear it an awful lot – because, I think, of the way my body is shaped (very pronounced curve at the hip/waist area) it rides up very easily so if I sit down at all, it gets out of position. But it’s fine to wear if I’m just walking, so I use it when I’m pushing a trolley at the supermarket or going for a walk and that seems to limit the discomfort I would have felt otherwise. Thank you again, and I have recommended Lafeenoire Maternity to a few people I know (especially on plus size boards as it can be hard for us to find products!) All the best, Anna (Posted on 10/30/2014)

I only managed to wear the girdle for a couple of weeks before Emily arrived. I did wear it every day though and I found it to be very supportive and comfortable. Positive feedback: * Comfortable (better than the Mothercare one and the two from the physio) I think it was due to the soft material you used and the velcro did not rub like the others. * Supportive The straps were in the right places and gave support in the back and under the bump * Discrete I wore this under my clothes, so other people were not even aware I had it on. * Not bulky The girdle lay flat and did not bulge and buckle like the other harder velcro belts I have tried. * Can be worn all day. Some of the other belts I had to losen or take off if I sat or lay down because they were so uncomfortable. With your girdle I did not need to do this, occasionally I losened the lower velcro but because it is one item it did not all fall apart like other belts that come in several pieces (Posted on 10/30/2014)

I’ve been suffering with backache pretty bad.even walking down the road would hurt so bad..well I was told about a bump support band, I Googled it and found this one.I brought it and the past 3 days I’ve been wearing it.not once has my back hurt the way it did before. this morning I forgot to put it on.walked to the shops and was in agony. put the belt back on later that day and my backs fine.. I wondered how on earth this piece of material would prevent backache..still don’t know how but it definitely works lol:-) its really cheap as well ,everywhere else even EBAY is expensive.. “The belt is good, certainly a LOT more comfortable than any I have tried before and I have got on well with it so far, I have had to temporarily stop wearing it as I have had a major flare up and my pelvis is totally out of line at the moment, but I will be seeing physio as soon as my hormones settle to get myself realigned and am hoping the belt will help keep me there. I think during pregnancy it could be even more successful – its better than the god awful thing I was given when I fell pregnant, far more comfortable and easier to wear, and it looks nicer too”. Suffering from a Double Hernia : I tried this product and its made a world of difference. I have now bought two Hug-a-Bump®s as I wish to wear the band continually, whilst one in the wash. This product is obviously very effective for anyone with a large bump of any kind upfront. This has made a great difference to me in offering both support and great comfort, thanks so much Rachel (Posted on 10/30/2014)

  15. Ciara Hamilton from Eire

I have had back pain since week 5 of my pregnancy and searched for a suitable back support for use during pregnancy and I found the Hug-a-Bump! I cant recommend this product highly enough, its practical, discreet and is so comfortable I can wear it at night while sleeping. I’ve been wearing it since week 18 and am now at week 35 and along with the back pain I’m also suffering with SPD, the joys of pregnancy! The Hug-a-Bump is really helping with the pain and mobility. Rachel (La Fee Noire) has been wonderful to deal with, if only all sellers on the internet were as dedicated and provided the customer service she does! I will recommend the Hug-a-Bump to any of my pregnant friends/family who have similar back pain 🙂 (Posted on 6/30/2014)

Belt received and loving it, wanted to comment but wanted to make sure i had the time to give it the justice it deserves, since i started wearing it i havnt had back ache at all, i just make sure when i need to do anything strenuous i wear it, so pleased and so glad i found ur site,Xx what i find most amazing about this product, is since wearing it ive hardly had to use it, it was as if all my back problems were cure by spending some time correctly positioned, whenever i need to do something which i know is going to cause me backache (housework/shopping) i always make sure i use my belt and even though my pubis aches (have spd also) i have had no back ache at all, there was one point before i purchased the belt that i could hardly even walk because my back was in so much pain. I highly recommend this product, which is a great investment for future pregnancy’s and also will be used when menstruation is due as i also suffer back ache this time and normally have to take anti inflammatory. I was so pleased that i was able to have it shipped to UAE as it saved me having to have it posted to my mum in UK and then shipped here, postage was reasonable also. thank you Rachel (Posted on 10/30/2014)

  18. Anne-Marie from UK

It does take a while to adjust to wearing the belt, I found I was walking with my back arched backwards(if that makes sense) but after a few days, it was okay. the bottom belt I thought gave me great support to the bottom of my bump(I’m now 27 weeks) and I certainly didn’t feel like I was carrying such a weight. overall, the best time wearing this belt was in the sitting position as the support to the bottom of the back is excellent. very firm and really made you feel like you were resting against a supportive board :)! Thank you so much for the very prompt postage of my hug-a-bump. I am absolutely in love with it already! I wore it all day yesterday, and can feel the difference to my back and am now walking much less like a duck, and much more like a human! I am seeing my Midwife next week for a check up and will let her know how much it is helping. My SPD is quite recent as am only 14 weeks – it still niggles a bit – but have found once I’ve got up and walked around for a few minutes it quickly subsides. If the hug-a-bump can just prevent it feeling as bad as it did in my last pregnancy I will be thrilled. Many thanks again – I’ve “Liked” you on Facebook already!! Jo (Posted on 10/30/2014)

Very comfortable and supportive. You can see it through tighter clothes BUT if you are in pain with SPD then I am sure you would do anything to ease it. Tip for sufferers: Sleep on a sleeping bag of shiny material (even bin bag) in bed to ease twisting when you get up. Same in a car too, sitting on a carrier bag 😉 Good luck!. After developing pelvic girdle pain at about 25 weeks of my pregnancy, I was in agony just making the simplest of movements. I’ve always been really active so to be so limited in my mobility was really disheartening. Alongside physio the hug-a-bump has made a significant difference to my mobility. It allows me to get out for short walks and takes a lot of the pressure off my public bone and lower back when standing or walking. My pain has really lessened since wearing it regularly and as well as preventing further injury I’m sure it has helped me to heal. It is comfortable to wear and easy to put on and I love hat it can be hand washed and it dries quickly. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

Thanks Morwenna, Im so glad it has helped and thanks so much for taking time to leave feedback, best wishes Rachel, Lafeenoire Maternity
